Tips For Improving Email Open Rates
Ever wonder how you might improve your email open rate? Your subject line is one of the most important elements; it should describe what's inside "without" selling. In a recent study by MailChimp (the brand I recommend for my clients, use myself and Email newsletter of choice for Mozilla, Intel, Canon, Fujitsu, Staples and more) results showed the best email open rates had subject lines that "tell what's inside" and the worst subject lines "sell what's inside". 20-30% is a normal email open rate and there are several variables; your content type, list and how frequently you send campaigns. Your Email Marketing Plan like MailChimp, should provide you with results for each email campaign you send. A successful campaign/newsletter contains these basic elements: a compelling photo, useful and engaging information and either a special offer/coupon or link to sign up for an events.
